Le Duc de Praslin Hotel ****

The lovingly designed Le Duc de Praslin Hotel is nestled amidst a tropical garden directly on the picturesque bay of "Anse Volbert" and is separated from the long, white sandy beach "Côte D'Or" only by a small coastal road. The hotel is the ideal starting point to explore the beauty of the surrounding nature. The famous beach "Anse Lazio" and the "Vallée de Mai National Park" are located nearby. The transfer from the airport on Mahé takes approximately 20 minutes by car to the ferry terminal, from there a ferry to Praslin Island (approx. 75 minutes), followed by a journey of about 20 minutes from the port to the hotel.

The "Jewel of the Côte D'Or" consists of several 1-story buildings housing a total of 65 accommodation units. In addition to a reception area with seating, the complex features a boutique and a hairdresser. For culinary delights, there is the main restaurant "Le Dauphin" offering Creole and international cuisine, and the à la carte restaurant "Café des Arts" serving delicacies from Neptune's realm. Refreshing drinks are served at two bars. The hotel's outdoor area is a blooming paradise with numerous orchid species, tropical palms, and fish ponds. Here, three freshwater swimming pools with an integrated children's pool, as well as a sunbathing lawn and sun terrace, invite you to relax and unwind. Sun loungers, parasols, and beach towels are provided free of charge.

The modern rooms with Creole flair (approx. 55 sqm) feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar (for a fee), safe, LCD satellite TV, iPod docking station, CD player, coffee/tea maker and espresso machine, as well as a balcony or terrace with sea view. Minimum age 16 years.

During high tide, the loungers and swimming facilities at the hotel beach are limited.
Please note that an environmental sustainability fee is charged locally. This fee is to be paid in cash directly to the hotel per person and night and currently ranges between €1.80 and €7.20 (depending on the size of the hotel). Children under 13 years of age are exempt from this regulation.
For your international inbound and return flights to/from Mahé, please observe the ferry times for hotel bookings on the neighboring islands (e.g., Praslin/La Digue). If you arrive after 1 PM or depart before 12 PM, a transfer to/from Praslin/La Digue cannot be guaranteed. In case of arrival/departure outside the aforementioned times due to flight delays, bad weather, or extended waiting times for entry, our local agency will arrange an overnight stay in Mahé for you. If your booked flight times fall outside the above-mentioned time frames, please book an overnight stay in Mahé through your travel agency.
