Location

The SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort, recently renovated and reopened in 2026, is located in the north of Hurghada directly on the beachfront. The spacious and wide beach section with its own jetty invites you to linger and explore the underwater world. Hurghada Airport is about 25 kilometers away, and Hurghada city center is approximately 16 kilometers away.

Facilities

The original schauinsland-reisen hotel was extensively renovated in the winter of 2025/2026, emerging with a fresh new look directly on Hurghada's beachfront. The resort comprises a total of 569 rooms spread across various building sections, including newly built, popular swim-up rooms. The resort offers guests 5 different pools distributed throughout the grounds down to the beach. One of the pools is heated during the winter months, and one pool is exclusively for adults aged 16 and over. Additionally, the resort features three children's pools, all of which are heated. Nestled within the resort, a generous aqua park provides water fun for all ages: ten different slides ensure daily sliding fun, with six additional slides specifically for younger guests in the children's area. For culinary delights, the resort boasts a total of 6 restaurants (one of which is at an extra charge) as well as three further à la carte restaurants located in the adjacent SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort, which can be used free of charge. A selection of eight different bars (one with an extra charge, another exclusively for guests aged 16 and over) are available throughout the day. Sun loungers, towels, and umbrellas are available free of charge for guests by the pool and on the beach.

Accommodation

Superior Double Room

The friendly decorated rooms (DSU, approx. 32m²) are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and balcony or terrace.
Also available for single occupancy (DEU). Also bookable with pool view (DSP), pool and sea view (D2S), and sea view (DMU), all with the same size and amenities.

Family Suite Sea View

The family suites with sea view (2FM, 50m²) are equipped like the DSU, but consist of two separate bedrooms (one room with a double bed, one room with two single beds).

Family Suite Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Family Suite Sea View, these rooms offer direct access to the shared pool.

Superior Double Room Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these rooms are 44m² in size and feature a terrace with access to the shared pool.

The holiday resort features six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a midnight snack; Basilico for breakfast and dinner in buffet style and à la carte in the evening; Manzoku for Asian cuisine à la carte in the evening; Manohar for Indian cuisine à la carte in the evening; Yades for Greek cuisine à la carte for lunch and dinner; and Felucca for seafood à la carte in the evening. Reservations are required for the à la carte restaurants, and the Felucca restaurant incurs an extra charge.
Furthermore, the following three à la carte restaurants are available in the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" in the evening upon reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), Elia (Mediterranean cuisine). Snacks are available at the Mayfair Lounge (coffee, tea, and cake) and at the Burger Boulevard from 10 am to 6 pm.
Eight different bars, two of which are for guests aged 16 and over and one with an extra charge, are available at various times, some around the clock.

Sports included

Beach volleyball, table tennis, darts, boccia, and a fitness studio.

Children's program

For the little ones, there is a kids' club "Kids Planet," available daily from 9 am to 10 pm (for ages 3-12). A wide range of children's activities are offered. Additionally, there are six different children's slides and children's pools (heated in winter).

Wellness

Steam bath, sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, beauty salon, and massages for a fee (for guests aged 16 and over).

Live music in the evening and an amphitheater with an evening entertainment program.
