Safaris always start on Mondays.
Day 1 "Mombasa-Tsavo West National Park": Early morning pick-up from your hotel (South Coast around 5:30 AM, North Coast 6:30 AM) and transfer to the Mombasa train terminal for a train journey (1st class) to Mtito Andei (departure 8 AM, arrival 11:18 AM). Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to Severin Safari Camp by Severin Camp vehicle. You will enjoy your first lunch at your accommodation, the "Severin Safari Camp". In the afternoon, your first game drive begins through Tsavo West National Park with a 6-seater vehicle and an English-speaking driver/guide. The vast and diverse habitats offer an ideal area for spotting prides of lions, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and wildebeest. Enjoy a sundowner at the "Mzima Springs," an underground water source that seeps from the "Chyulu Hills," which is a good spot for observing hippos. There is also a wide variety of bird species. Dinner will also be at your booked accommodation (Severin Safari Camp).
Day 2 "Tsavo West National Park": Spend the whole day in Tsavo West National Park with a morning game drive and a 1.5-hour guided nature walk. All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and overnight stays will be at the "Severin Safari Camp".
Day 3 "Tsavo West National Park-Mombasa": The day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a transfer to the Mtito Andei train station for the return journey by train (1st class) to Mombasa (departure 10:54 AM, arrival 2 PM). Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be transferred to your booked hotel.
Minimum participants: 2 people.
Safaris can start no earlier than the 2nd day of your stay. Latest return to your booked beach hotel is 2 days before departure. Program sequence is subject to change.

After booking completion, we require passport copies of all travelers to book the train journey (res.afrika@schauinsland-reisen.de).

Day 2: After a morning safari along the sources of the Tsavo River – the lifeline for hippos and crocodiles – breakfast awaits you at the camp. Afterward, you have time to relax at the KENBALI Spa. For lunch, choose from our à la carte menu in the restaurant and enjoy the fantastic view over the vast savanna. In the late afternoon, you will be taken to the highlight of the day. At Poacher's Lookout, enjoy the beautiful sunset with a glass of champagne and canapés. From here, you have a magnificent view over the El Turesh bushland. On the way back to the camp, experience the African savanna at night – an unforgettable adventure. When our driver turns off the engine, you can enjoy the silence amidst the wilderness under the starry sky. After an exciting day in the African bush, a culinary dinner awaits you in our camp.
Day 3: The day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a transfer to the Mtito Andei train station for the return journey by train (1st class) to Mombasa (departure 10:54 AM, arrival 2 PM). Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be transferred to your booked hotel.
