Location

The luxurious beach resort is located on the beautiful northeast coast of the island of Zanzibar, about 60 minutes from the international airport. The pearly white sandy beach is about 300 m from the main part of the hotel. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Indian Ocean.
The resort is surrounded by a natural coral reef, making swimming a relaxed and safe experience.

Facilities

The hotel was completely renovated in the summer of 2011 and features extensive grounds. In 2025, 15 private villas were built, and the rooms and parts of the resort are now being renovated step by step (without disturbing guests). All 174 rooms and suites offer absolute privacy. The holiday resort has a lobby with a reception and internet corner, Wi-Fi (free in public areas), as well as 6 different restaurants (Gabi Beach, Spices Restaurant, Jetty Lounge, Pool Bar, The Level Restaurant and Tamu Restaurant (à la carte restaurant with Swahili cuisine, for a fee)) and 7 different bars. The outdoor area offers 3 different freshwater pools surrounded by extensive green areas, as well as sun loungers and parasols (subject to availability). Towels for rooms and pool are available free of charge.

Double Room (Melia Garden Room)

The standard rooms on the ground floor with direct access to the garden have a hairdryer, safe, bathtub, minibar (daily refilled with various soft drinks), bathrobes and slippers, coffee and tea making facilities, air conditioning and ceiling fan, telephone, flat-screen TV, balcony or terrace (D). Also bookable as a single room (DE).

Double Room (Melia Terrace Room)

Same amenities as "Melia Garden Room" but on the first floor and with either garden or partial sea view (DB). Also bookable as a single room (DEB).

Family Room

The family rooms have 2 separate living areas (bedroom and living room) and 2 balconies. These are located on the first floor with garden or sea view. Otherwise, the amenities are the same as in the "Melia Garden Room" (DF2).

Double Bungalow Sea View

The warm and cozy wooden bungalows have a spectacular terrace with direct sea view and a typical "Makuti" roof (MB2).

The Level Beach Pavilion (BF2)

The exclusive rooms (80 m²) (bookable for ages 16 and up), located directly on the Indian Ocean with a magnificent sea view, are equipped with a king-size bed, premium minibar (daily refilled with non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages), Wi-Fi, telephone, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, separate shower, large bathtub, safe (for a fee), wellness ball, air conditioning, private terrace, tea and coffee making facilities.

The Level Grand Zanzibar Suite (S2)

Absolute relaxation is guaranteed in this 117 m² suite (bookable for ages 16 and up) with a large bedroom with king-size bed, a bathroom with a 48-inch TV and a large, separate lounge with a dining area.
