Location

The Riu Palace Zanzibar is a luxury hotel with an excellent location directly on Nungwi Beach, one of the island's most beautiful white sand beaches. The island's airport and Zanzibar City, the capital with the historic center of Stone Town, are approximately one hour away by car. Numerous restaurants and bars can be reached in just a few minutes' walk.

Facilities

This family-friendly hotel on the northern tip of Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar archipelago, features 301 rooms and suites, a lobby with a 24-hour reception, restaurants (Steakhouse, Fusion, Mediterranean, Grill, etc.), 4 bars, shops, and a wellness center. The spacious outdoor area includes 4 pools and a relaxation pool in the spa area. Guests can also relax in the hotel's own garden under tropical weather. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pools and on the beach.

Junior Suite

The spacious rooms (approx. 45 sqm) are equipped with a king-size bed (200x200cm) or two double beds (110x200cm), toilet/shower, hairdryer, telephone (for a fee), TV, centrally controlled air conditioning, safe, minibar, and balcony or terrace (JS2). Also available as a Junior Suite Sea View (JM2) or Junior Suite Swim Up (bookable from 13 years, EDV code: SUJ, from 1.11.2026).

Suite

With the same amenities as the Junior Suites, the Suites are more spacious (approx. 51 sqm) (S2). Available as Suite Superior Sea View (UM2) for an additional charge.

Junior Suite Courtyard

Equipped like the Junior Suites, with a king-size bed (180x200cm) or two double beds (110x200cm), slightly smaller (approx. 32 sqm) and with a view of the garden/courtyard (JGB).

Beach Villa

Bookable for ages 13 and up only. The Beach Villas are approx. 90 sqm and feature a 200x200 cm bed, a sofa bed in the living area, a whirlpool, satellite TV, air conditioning, kettle, safe, and a private pool with sun loungers on the terrace.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served buffet-style. Dinner can also be enjoyed in one of the à la carte restaurants (these are open alternately and require advance reservation). Snacks are available during the day, and coffee/tea and pastries in the afternoon. Local and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from the All Inclusive menu are included from 10 AM to midnight at the open bars. Imported beverages and all other extras, such as freshly squeezed fruit juices, are subject to a charge.
