Location

The resort is located on the private island of Kedigandu in the Dhaalu Atoll and is connected by a jetty to the neighboring island and the sister hotel Riu Atoll Maafushi located there. Transfer is by domestic flight (approx. 45 minutes) to Kudahuvadhoo airport island, followed by a speedboat transfer (approx. 15 minutes). A seaplane transfer (approx. 45 minutes) can be booked at an additional cost and upon request.

Facilities

The Riu Place Maldivas Kedhigandu Island, newly opened in August 2019, features 176 rooms spread across the island and on stilts over the sea. Amenities include an open reception area with seating, inviting guests to linger. For culinary delights, there is the main restaurant, a specialty restaurant (Japanese cuisine), a fusion restaurant, as well as two specialty restaurants at Riu Atoll (Italian and Steakhouse) and three bars (two of them at Riu Atoll). The outdoor infinity pool with a swim-up bar (swim-up bar access from 18 years) invites relaxation. Sun loungers, beach towels, and umbrellas are of course provided free of charge.

Junior Suite Ocean View

The Junior Suite Ocean View is approx. 40 sqm, located on the 1st floor and features a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, a combined living/sleeping area with air conditioning (centrally controlled), safe, ceiling fan, drink dispenser, seating area, sofa, kettle, minibar, telephone, TV, and a balcony with sea view (JOV/JOE).

Beach Junior Suite Ocean View

With the same amenities as the Junior Suite Ocean View, located on the ground floor with a terrace and direct beach access (J2V/J1V).

Overwater Suite

The Overwater Suite is approx. 47 sqm and, with the same amenities as the Junior Suite Ocean View, features a terrace with a Balinese bed, bathtub, and direct access to the sea. These suites are located on stilts over the water (W2O).

Overwater Pool Suite

The Overwater Swim Up Suite is approx. 60 sqm and, in addition to the amenities of the Overwater Suite, features a separate bathtub in the bathroom and a private pool (O2G).

Varied breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner also in buffet form (various theme nights 3 times a week) as well as 24-hour snacks. Dinner à la carte is also possible with reservation. National and international non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and selected premium drinks are available 24 hours a day at the bars. Refilling the minibar and the drink dispensers in the rooms is free of charge. In addition, all facilities of the Riu Atoll can be used.

Sports Included

Speedboat: Operation for estimated arrival/departure from 5 AM to 11 PM // Domestic flight: Operation estimated for arrivals/departures from 9:30 AM to 4 PM // Seaplane: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1-2 intermediate stops on seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside the above times, in case of bad weather or longer waiting times at immigration, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.
