Location

The island of Meeru is located on the eastern outer reef of the North Male Atoll. With a length of approx. 1,200 m and a width of approx. 350 m, Meeru Island Resort is situated on the largest island of the atoll. The island can be reached from the airport in less than an hour by speedboat. The nearest snorkeling spots are about 50-150 m away. The house reef is located in front of the island.

Facilities

The resort complex comprises a total of 282 rooms. Main attractions include the large lagoon and the stunning white sandy beaches that completely surround the island. The resort features an open, tastefully designed reception area with a reception desk, souvenir shop, a photo studio "Meeru Moments," and two separate spa areas (one in an idyllic garden setting and the second directly over the water with a glass floor). Culinary highlights include six bars and six restaurants, inviting you to linger. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the buffet restaurants "Maalan" (adults-only area) and "Farivalhu." Additionally, you have the option to choose from four different à la carte restaurants. The "Asian Wok" offers a varied modern Asian cuisine and includes a Teppanyaki grill, further complementing the offerings. The "The Reef" restaurant invites you on a culinary journey of a different kind, where Meeru spoils you with steaks and seafood, which can also be prepared at your table. Two large swimming pools (one of which is adults-only) complete the island's extensive offerings and invite you to relax (sun loungers, beach towels, and cushions included).

Accommodation

Garden Bungalow

The 20 modern, U-shaped terraced bungalows are approx. 50 sqm and tastefully furnished, with a bathroom with rain shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, TV, coffee/tea maker, minibar (for a fee), safe, seating area, and a covered wooden terrace (G2B/G1B).

Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Garden Bungalows, these 56 sqm villas additionally feature a semi-open bathroom and are located amidst tropical vegetation towards the beach, with a lagoon view (2BV/1BV).

Jacuzzi Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Villas, these 80 sqm villas are more spacious and comfortably furnished with a private open-air jacuzzi area (bookable for ages 18+, (2JV)).

Water Front Villa

With the same amenities as the Jacuzzi Beach Villas, these 60 sqm villas have two washbasins and are located directly on the beach, even closer to the water (bookable for ages 18+, (WFZ/WFS)).

Jacuzzi Water Villa

These larger (approx. 85 sqm) villas have the same amenities as the Water Front Villas and are built on stilts over the lagoon with a private sun deck, seating area, and loungers with direct access to the sea (bookable for ages 18+, (JW2)).

Ocean Villa

With the same amenities and size as the Jacuzzi Water Villa, the Ocean Villa is located on the north side of the island (bookable for ages 18+, (2OV)).

Beach Pool Villa

With a size of approx. 86 sqm, the Beach Pool Villas feature a spacious bedroom and a semi-open bathroom with an outdoor bathtub. The villas also have a private pool and sun terrace and are located on the sunset side directly on the beach. (VPZ) Additionally, the following amenities are included:
- a floating breakfast
- free shisha in selected bars
- host service
- dine-around at Maalan & Farivalhu (subject to availability/prior reservation)
- treats from the chef upon arrival and during turn-down service
- daily complimentary selection of Nespresso capsules
- 20% discount on one-hour spa treatments during the first two days

All Inclusive Plus

All meals are served buffet-style in the respective main restaurant. For guests staying in the southern part of the island, the "Farivalhu" restaurant, and in the northern part, the "Maalan" restaurant. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2 PM, and dinner from 7 PM to 9 PM, with afternoon tea, cakes, and snacks also available. Dinner can also be enjoyed as a 3-course set menu at the "Asian Wok," "A-Mare," or "The Reef" restaurants (reservations required).
Selected local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices, coffee, tea, beer, wine, cocktails, and various spirits) are included. Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (mineral water, soft drinks, beer, house wine, iced coffee, and iced tea) are included in the minibar with daily replenishment.
All sports enthusiasts can look forward to complimentary lessons in golf on the driving range, windsurfing, or snorkeling, all with full equipment included (limited time and subject to availability). Furthermore, kayaks, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, billiards, snooker, darts, yoga, and football are at your disposal. As a highlight, the Meeru team invites you to a unique and exciting "Sunset Cruise," where you can enjoy the Indian Ocean on one of the resort's yachts (bookable subject to availability, changes reserved).

Sports included

"Duniye Spas" with massages and various treatments, each for a fee. One spa is located in the garden, and another is on stilts over the sea. The treatments and massages are identical; only the location and view of the spas differ.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For a double occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may be a total of only 1 or 2 large beds available. Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on island location), as well as currently most domestic flights, only operate during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male (near the airport) may be necessary.
