Location

The Joy Island Resort is located on the eastern outer reef of the North Male Atoll. The island can be reached from the airport by speedboat in approx. 40 minutes. The house reef is approx. 100 m away.

Facilities

The resort, opened in 2023, has a total of 151 rooms, built both on land and over the water. Amenities include a reception hall with a reception desk and seating areas. The resort also has a boutique. A total of three restaurants and a bar cater to your culinary needs. Among them is "The Market" with exquisite international cuisine. Enjoy authentic Italian cuisine and fresh stone-baked pizza at the "Il Basilico" restaurant, experience a culinary journey through Japanese cuisine at the Teppanyaki restaurant "Japansese Garden," or relax with dinner under the stars at the "Palm Beach" restaurant. The resort also has a pool. Umbrellas, sun loungers with mattresses, and bath towels are available free of charge by the swimming pool and on the beach.

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas are approx. 50 m² and have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, safe, ceiling fan, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, and a furnished terrace with direct beach access. (2BV)

With the same amenities as the Beach Villa, the Beach Suite is larger (approx. 70 m²) and is located on the sunset side of the island. (BS2)

Lagoon Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Villa, the Lagoon Villa is larger (approx. 60 m²) and is located on the sunrise side. The villa also has direct access to the sea. (LV2)

With the same amenities as the Lagoon Villa, the Lagoon Suite is larger (approx. 70 m²), located on the sunset side, and also features a bathtub. (DL2)

All-Inclusive

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main restaurant. Afternoon snacks, cakes, tea, and coffee from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as water, soft drinks, juices, beer, house wine, cocktails, and mocktails from 10 AM to midnight at the open bar. Daily minibar refill with selected drinks (water and soft drinks). Non-motorized water sports (canoes, paddleboards, snorkeling equipment) are also included.

Premium All-Inclusive (bookable until 12/26/2025)

In addition to All Inclusive, a selection of premium wines, prosecco, various signature drinks, fresh juices, and tea/coffee specialties from 10 AM to midnight at the open bar are included. Daily minibar refill includes beer, wine, and snacks. Two excursions, Sunset Fishing and Local Island Trip (subject to change), are also included. Furthermore, guests receive a 20% discount on all spa treatments, a romantic dinner on the beach, and a BBQ dinner on the beach.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1-2 stopovers on seaplane transfers.
