Location

The resort, approximately 800m long, is situated on the exotic island of "Emboodhu Finolhu," right in the middle of one of the largest and most impressive lagoons in the Maldives. This tropical island, with its magnificent flora and fauna, offers excellent opportunities for diving and swimming in beautiful waters. The transfer from the airport takes approximately 15-20 minutes by speedboat.

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Maldives is located on a picturesque private island and offers an exclusive and tranquil atmosphere with only 62 elegant villas. For dining, the hotel features several restaurants and bars. The "24 Degrees" restaurant serves Asian dishes, and "Mediterraneo by Jeffrey Vella" offers Mediterranean cuisine. Additionally, snacks and drinks are served at "Mediterraneo Waterfront" for lunch. Other amenities include the "Equator Bar," a library, a swimming pool and sun terrace, one of the most beautiful Maldivian spa areas, and a boutique. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge on the beach and by the pool.

Sunrise Overwater Villa

The Sunrise Overwater Villas are very generously furnished (approx. 71 m² including outdoor area) and built on stilts over the lagoon. Facilities include a bathroom/WC, bathrobes, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV with DVD player, telephone, safe, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, a furnished terrace, and direct access to the sea.

Overwater Pool Villa

With the same amenities and location as the Sunrise Overwater Villa, these are even more spacious (approx. 94 m² including outdoor area) and additionally feature a private plunge pool and a daybed on the terrace.

Speedboat: Operation for estimated arrival/departure between 5 AM and 11 PM // Domestic (domestic flight): Operation for arrival/departure between 9:30 AM and 4 PM // Seaplane: Operation for arrival/departure between 9 AM and 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
With seaplane transfers, there may be 1-2 intermediate landings.
For arrivals/departures outside the above times, in case of bad weather, or during long immigration waits, a transit overnight stay in Male may be required.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two Queen/King-size beds. For a booking of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may be only 1 or 2 large beds available in total. Accordingly, it may happen that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child has to sleep in the parents' bed.

Please note that rooms with direct pool/sea access are only bookable for travelers aged 7 and above due to safety reasons.
All flight transfers, as well as most boat transfers (depending on the island's location), are only conducted during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male (near the airport) may be necessary.

Luggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. USD 5 per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered later by boat.

In the Maldives, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools may be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
