Location

Opened in November 2023, SO/Maldives is located in the North Male Atoll and is surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches and tropical vegetation. Male Airport is approximately a 15-minute speedboat ride away.

Facilities

The modern, colorful resort comprises a total of 80 villas on land and over the water. Amenities include an open reception area with seating, a souvenir shop, and a boutique. For your culinary enjoyment, there are three restaurants and bars. These include the "Citronelle Club" restaurant with Asian specialties, the "Lazuli Beach Club" restaurant with exquisite Mediterranean delicacies, and the "Hadaba" restaurant with oriental delights. Sun loungers, cushions, and parasols are available free of charge on the beach.

Water Pool Villa

The modernly furnished Water Pool Villa is approx. 120 m² in size, built on stilts over the water, and features an indoor and outdoor shower/WC, bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobes/slippers, air conditioning, TV, minibar (for a fee), tea/coffee making facilities, safe, and a furnished terrace with a private pool. Ocean Water Pool Villa

With the same amenities and size as the Lagoon Water Pool Villa, the Ocean Water Pool Villa offers unrestricted sea views. (O2W)

Lagoon Beach Pool Villa

With the same amenities as the Water Pool Villa, the Lagoon Beach Pool Villa is larger (approx. 228 m²) and additionally features a private garden. (B2E)

Rich breakfast buffet. Lunch can be taken at either "The Citronelle Club" or "Lazuli" restaurant. Dinner can be enjoyed at "The Citronelle Club", "Hadaba", or "Lazuli" restaurant. Additionally, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (soft drinks, fresh juices, tea, coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails) are included from 10 am to midnight at the currently open bar. The minibar is replenished daily with water, soft drinks, juices, beer, wine, and snacks.

Speedboat: Operates for estimated arrival/departure between 5 am and 11 pm // Domestic flight: Operates for arrivals/departures approximately between 9:30 am and 4 pm // Seaplane: Operates approximately for arrivals/departures between 9 am and 3 pm.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer may occur.
With seaplane transfers, there may be 1-2 stops.
For arrivals/departures outside the above-mentioned times, in case of bad weather, or for longer waiting times upon entry, an overnight stay in Male may be required.
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location), as well as currently most domestic flights, only operate during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.

The luggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat later.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For a double occupancy with 1 or 2 children, there may be only 1 or 2 large beds available in total. Consequently, it may happen that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child has to sleep in the parents' bed.
