Location

Day 1: Minuwangoda
Arrival at Colombo Airport and transfer to a hotel near the airport. Afternoon at leisure or a Negombo City Tour.
Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Tamarind Tree or similar.
Day 2: Minuwangoda – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya
After breakfast, drive towards the Cultural Triangle, with the first destination being Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's second ancient capital, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Polonnaruwa flourished from the 11th to the 13th century. The colossal Buddha statues carved from a rock at Gal Vihara are also well-known. After the visit, continue to Sigiriya by bicycle.
Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Kasyapa Lion Rock or similar.
Day 3: Sigiriya
Early in the morning, before breakfast, set out to climb the Pidurangala rock fortress. Afterwards, return to the hotel for breakfast. Subsequently, explore Sigiriya with its diverse landscapes.

Day 4: Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy
After breakfast, stop in Matale en route to Kandy to visit the impressive Muthumariamman Temple. While traveling to Kandy, visit a typical spice and herb garden. Continue to Kandy, the last royal capital of the country. During a city tour, visit the famous Temple of the Tooth, and in the evening, experience a cultural dance performance.
Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Topaz or similar.
Day 5: Kandy-Nuwara Eliya
Depart for the train station after breakfast. From there, enjoy a train journey from Kandy to Nanu Oya to explore the secrets of world-famous Ceylon tea.
Nuwara Eliya, also known as "Little England," is still characterized by its colonial past.
Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Victoria Suites or similar.
Day 6: Nuwara Eliya-Udawalawe
After breakfast, head towards Udawalawe, visiting the Buduruwagala Temple and its large Buddha statue. After checking into the hotel, visit Udawalawe National Park with its breathtaking scenery and resident elephants.
Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Nildiya Tents or similar.
Day 7: Udawalawe – Galle – Colombo
After breakfast, travel along the southwest coast, passing by the unique fortified city of Galle, en route to Colombo.
Overnight stay and dinner at The Ocean or similar.
Day 8: Colombo-Airport/Extension
After breakfast, return to the airport or continue to your booked extension hotel.
