The Sauerland Stern Hotel is a holiday and vacation paradise for the whole family in the heart of Germany. It is located in the charming landscape of North Hesse, at the foot of the Ettelsberg mountain with the highest heathland in Europe, in the Ski World Cup town of Willingen.

The spacious double rooms in the "Standard" category (D, approx. 30 sqm) are equipped with a double bed (approx. 200x210 cm), 32-inch LED flat-screen TV with satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, direct dial telephone, safe, two sofa beds (approx. 90x190 cm) as sleeping accommodations for a 3rd adult or up to two children, a bathroom with bathtub/toilet, hairdryer, and cosmetic mirror, as well as a balcony.
Available as single occupancy (DE) or single with child (D1K) upon request.

Family Room "Privilege"

The spacious family rooms in the "Privilege" category (DF2, approx. 45 sqm) are equipped with a combined living/sleeping area with three sofa beds (approx. 90x190 cm) for a 3rd adult or up to 3 children, 32-inch LED flat-screen TV with satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, direct dial telephone, safe, a separate bedroom with a double bed (approx. 200x210 cm), and a bathroom with bathtub/toilet, hairdryer, and cosmetic mirror, as well as a balcony.

Sports for a fee

Ice rink and 3D cinema connected directly to the hotel through local providers.
Currently, the underground access to the cinema and ice rink is closed due to the new construction of the Lagunenbad (lagoon pool).
In the immediate vicinity, there is an adventure mini-golf course, the Dino and Adventure Park, and the Hochheideturm – the highest climbing and observation tower in Northwest Germany. And in winter, the Willingen Winter Paradise awaits ski and snow enthusiasts. Tickets are available at reception.

Children's program

Star Eldorado for children aged 5-15 (24.12.- 5.1.25, 24.2.- 2.3.25, 14.7.- 24.8.25, 24.12.- 4.1.26, 23.2.- 1.3.26; subject to change):
Indoor playground with bouncy castles, game console, foosball table, billiards table, table tennis tables, air hockey, badminton, volleyball, and a play corner, as well as a weather-independent leisure and animation program for the whole family, including sports tournaments, children's bingo, crafting and drawing fun, hikes and excursions, and much more.

Ski Info: As a small ski and toboggan area north of the Alps, Willingen offers snow fun for everyone. Artificial snowmaking capabilities (from -3°C) guarantee the best winter sports conditions. The slopes and cross-country ski trails can be reached on foot or by shuttle service (partially for a fee) from the hotel. A personal contact person for ski rental, ski school, etc., is available at the hotel when skiing is operating.
