Just 40 km from Dresden, nestled in the popular hiking and winter sports region of the spa town Altenberg, the AHORN Waldhotel Altenberg is located in the Schellerhau district, a state-recognized climatic health resort. Embedded in the beautiful Ore Mountains, not far from the breathtaking Saxon Switzerland, the 3-star superior hotel in Altenberg beckons for a holiday with offers for the whole family and for every season.

Facilities

The hotel has a total of 222 rooms and offers its guests a reception with a lobby bar with SKY TV, a buffet restaurant, the à la carte restaurant "Glück Auf" with delicacies of regional and national cuisine, and a summer terrace with a beer garden (seasonally open). The spacious outdoor area attracts in summer with a heated outdoor pool (12x6 m, seasonally open) and a large sunbathing lawn.

Double room

The modern double rooms (D, approx. 17-19 sqm) are equipped with a double bed and have a 49-inch TV including radio, telephone, safe, free Wi-Fi, shower/WC, hairdryer, and a wonderful valley view (without balcony).

Single room

The rooms (E) have a TV, telephone, safe, shower/WC, and hairdryer. The rooms consist of a sleeping area with a single bed. The average room size is approx. 16 sqm.

Double room Type A

The Double rooms Type A (DA, approx. 18-21 sqm) have a wonderful mountain view (without balcony) in addition to the same amenities as the double rooms.

Family room

The family accommodation (DF2, approx. 34 sqm) consists of two double rooms next to each other (without connecting door) or opposite each other.
