The Maxine is located just outside the village of Agia Galini with a fantastic view of the bay. The center is only about 800 m away, and the sand/pebble beach is about 500 m away. Shops, tavernas, and bars can be found in the beautiful and quaint fishing village. Heraklion Airport is approximately 90 km away.

The adults-only hotel Maxine (bookable for ages 16 and up) is run with great warmth and a family atmosphere by the hotelier's daughters, Evelina and Katherina. The 55 rooms are spread across 4 buildings. The main building houses the reception (open 18 hours a day) with a cozy lobby, a bar, and a breakfast room/restaurant (renovated) with a wonderful panoramic terrace offering a magnificent view of Agia Galini bay. Furthermore, Maxine offers Wi-Fi in public areas (included). Hammocks in the well-maintained garden area promise special relaxation. There is also a swimming pool (pool towels available for a deposit) for refreshment, and a pool/snackbar (renovated) serves drinks (for a fee). Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool; at the beach, sun loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee.

The rooms are bright and friendly, featuring a shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, individually controlled air conditioning, a safe for rent, 32" satellite TV, refrigerator, kettle, coffee/tea making facilities, and 2 bottles of water upon arrival, a balcony, and sea view (DM).
Also available for single occupancy (DEM) upon request.

Double room Superior

The renovated rooms feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, air conditioning, safe (included), 32'' satellite TV, air conditioning (included), refrigerator (included), safe (included), and a balcony (DSU). They are also equipped with coffee/tea making facilities and two bottles of water upon arrival.
Double rooms with sea view (DMU/DIM) are available at an additional charge. Maximum occupancy is limited to 2 adults.

Junior suite sea view

The renovated junior suites are equipped like the superior double rooms, but are more spacious and additionally feature sea view, an espresso machine (refilled daily with 2 capsules), and a daily bottle of water in the room (J2M).

Suite sea view

The suites with sea view have the same amenities as the junior suites, but feature a double bed and a sofa bed, plus a coffee/tea station with a kettle. They are more spacious and designed in an open maisonette style (S2M).

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01/01/2018 onwards, the Greek government is imposing a climate resilience levy, payable locally by the guest, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from 01/01/2025, will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room.
