Location

The family-run hotel Iolida Beach is located directly on the sandy beach of Agia Marina. The center of Platanias is about 1.5 kilometers from the hotel, while Chania with its picturesque old town and numerous shopping opportunities is about 8 km away. Chania International Airport is about 22 km away, and Heraklion International Airport is about 160 km away. A bus stop is within walking distance, about 100 m away.

The hotel consists of an older section located directly by the sea and a newer section in the second row from the beach, on the other side of the coastal road. Both parts of the hotel are connected by a bridge and are divided into a total of three buildings with 139 rooms. The complex has a reception area with a 24-hour reception, an elevator, a supermarket, and two restaurants. The well-kept outdoor area features two freshwater swimming pools with sun terraces and two pool bars. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to guests free of charge at the pools and for a fee on the beach. Bath towels can be rented for a fee. Wi-Fi is available free of charge in all areas of the hotel.

Studio

The studios have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, kitchenette, individually controlled air conditioning, telephone, refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, safety deposit box (for rent), satellite TV, and a balcony or terrace. They are located in the annex building in the second row from the beach, on the other side of the coastal road (S12).
Optionally, studios with the same amenities can also be booked with a sea view (SM2).

The apartments have the same amenities as the studios, plus an additional bedroom separated by a sliding door, and are slightly larger (A12).
Optionally, apartments with the same amenities can also be booked with a sea view (2AM).

Information on climate resilience fee

For stays from January 1, 2018 onwards, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day per room starting January 1, 2025.
For stays during the high season from April 1 to October 31:
