Location

In ancient Greece, an Abaton was a sacred place, inaccessible to most people – an area in a Greek temple reserved only for the gods. Today, Abaton stands for luxury inspired by and anchored in nature.
The hotel is located directly on the sea, on a natural rocky coastline with sandy coves, approx. 2 km outside of Chersonissos. Heraklion Airport is approx. 27 km away.

Double Room Deluxe Loft Sea View

The "Loft Deluxe Sea View" rooms have the same amenities as the Deluxe Double Sea View rooms but are slightly more spacious and open over 2 levels with a separate living/sleeping area, ideal for accommodation for up to 3 people (2B/MDI).

Double Room Luxury Sharing Pool

Spacious and open over 2 levels with a separate living/sleeping area, 2nd smart flat-screen TV, and a private whirlpool on the private, furnished terrace. They are located in the highest area of the resort (SJG).
The Suite with Whirlpool Garden View is not supervised by a lifeguard. Therefore, please pay particular attention to your children when using this area and behave considerately.

Suite Sharing Pool

Feature the same amenities as the suites with whirlpool and offer a private, furnished terrace with direct access to a sharing pool (SSH). The suites offer sea views from the balcony of the upper floor (sleeping area).

Villa Private Pool Beachfront

With the same amenities as the suites, spread over 2 floors, consisting of two separate bedrooms and a living/dining area, as well as a private heated pool and an extra smart TV (2IO).
The Villa with Private Pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. Therefore, please pay particular attention to your children when using this area and behave considerately.

Villa Royal

With the same amenities as the suites, spread over 2 floors with an internal elevator, consisting of four separate bedrooms and a living/dining area with a kitchen, as well as a private heated pool with a massage function, gym, hammam, dressing room, and an extra smart TV (VA).

Meals

Breakfast/Half Board

Buffet breakfast (7:30 AM - 10:30 AM) and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM) at the main restaurant.
Additionally, with half board booking, the 4 à la carte restaurants can be used for dinner. A 3-course menu is included at the "Bony Fish Seafood" restaurant (fish and seafood), "Elemes" (Cretan cuisine), and "WOW" Steakhouse; some specialties and drinks are available at an extra charge. At the "Buddha-Bar Beach" restaurant, a credit of €25 per person per day will be applied to the food, with additional dishes and drinks available at an extra charge).

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which must be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, as of 01.01.2025, will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room.
