Location

The family-friendly Hotel Petra Mare is located directly on the sand/pebble beach. The center of Ierapetra with its numerous shopping and entertainment facilities is about a 15-minute walk away. Heraklion Airport is approximately 100 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The Hotel Petra Mare has a total of 227 spacious rooms spread over 4 floors. The facilities include a 24-hour reception with a lobby, three elevators, and a cozy lounge area. There is also a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, as well as the à la carte restaurants "Almyra" and "Elia". Further facilities include a mini-market and a multi-purpose hall. The well-maintained outdoor area features a large seawater pool with hydromassage and a children's area with a children's pool (the pools are heated in the low season). The snack bar and an open-air theater are located in close proximity. Beach towels, loungers, and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the complex.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites feature a bathroom with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, individual air conditioning (included), 50" Smart TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), mini-fridge, kettle, and a balcony or terrace with a mountain view (JS2).
Alternatively, the Junior Suite can also be booked with a sea view (J2M).

Panorama Suite

The Panorama Suites have the same amenities as the Junior Suites but are more spacious, located on the 4th floor, and have a sea view (PSV).

Junior Suite with Sliding Door

With the same amenities as the Junior Suites, these rooms feature a separate living area with a sliding door and a mountain view (J2B). Alternatively, a sea view is available for an extra charge (B2J).

Family Suite

The Family Suites offer the same amenities as the Junior Suites but with more space. They consist of a separate bedroom separated by a sliding door. This room category includes a double bed, a sofa bed, and bunk beds. Additionally, the Family Suites have a terrace and a sea view (2FM).

Meals

All Inclusive

Breakfast (7-10:30), lunch (12:30-14:30) and dinner (18:30-21:30) served buffet style. Snacks from 10:00 to 24:00, ice cream for children from 12:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 17:00. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic branded drinks are included from 10:00 to 24:00 at the respective open bar.

Note for climate resilience levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience contribution, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day and room from 01.01.2025.
