Location

Nestled at the foot of the White Mountains, the Orpheas Resort is a favorite among German repeat guests, known for its individuality and charming design. It is located 4 km from Georgioupolis, one of Crete's most beautiful towns. The hotel is situated directly on the 16 km long beach in Kavros and near the idyllic freshwater Lake Kournas. The beautiful city of Chania is approximately 38 km away, and its airport is 48 km distant. The distance to Heraklion Airport is about 100 km.

The adults-only complex, built in Venetian style (available for guests aged 16 and over), comprises a total of 86 rooms spread across the main building and bungalow structures. The main building features an artistically designed entrance area with a 24-hour reception, lounge, TV corner, library, Wi-Fi in the lobby area (included), the restaurant, and a terrace overlooking the freshwater pool, as well as a small holiday library. The extensive gardens house the bungalow buildings, a freshwater pool with a sun terrace, and another freshwater pool with a beach bar and whirlpool located near the beach. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and available for a fee on the beach. Pool and beach towels are provided free of charge.

The double rooms feature a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, air conditioning, safety deposit box (rental fee applies), satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), minibar (for a fee), tea/coffee making facilities, and a balcony or terrace facing the street (D).
Also available for single occupancy (DE, also street-facing) or at an additional charge with garden view (2GD), with an outdoor whirlpool including slippers (G2J/2GI), or more spacious and sea-facing (DY2).

A rich breakfast buffet (7:30 AM - 10 AM) and dinner (6:30 PM - 9 PM) served buffet-style with a cooking station invite you to indulge.

Information on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day per room from 01.01.2025.
