Surrounded by a palm oasis near the beach and the sky-blue sea, the extremely charming Akrogiali Beach Hotel in Crete is a paradise of tranquility, idyllically situated in the vibrant spa town of Malia on the island of Crete, Greece.
Located directly on the gently sloping sandy beach, only approx. 35 km from Heraklion, the lively capital of the island of Crete, and only 300 meters from the bustling center of Malia.

The small, original schauinsland-reisen property is presented with great attention to detail in a modern design.
Combined with the very warm and helpful demeanor of the owner Loula and her equally warm team, nothing stands in the way of a typical Greek holiday "like with friends".
Hospitality is lived here. The complex has a total of 57 rooms, spread across several buildings. Additionally, there is a reception with a small lobby, a swimming pool with a sun terrace, a children's pool, and a pool/snackbar. Sunbeds and umbrellas are included by the pool, and available for a fee on the beach.

Accommodation

Studio Type A

The comfortably furnished studios (AST), located in the annex building, are equipped with a double bed and feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, safe (for a fee), kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities), a bathroom with bathtub or shower/WC, and a furnished balcony or terrace with garden view.
Optionally also bookable as a 3-bed room (S2B) or for single occupancy (S1B).
The rooms are located in the annex building, on the opposite side of the street. The beach is approx. 250 m from the rooms.

Studio with side sea view

The studios with side sea view (M2S) located in the main building, have side sea view, with otherwise identical amenities to the Studios Type A.

Apartment with side sea view

The apartments with side sea view (2AS/AIS), located in the main building, are equipped with a combined living/sleeping area with sleeping facilities for up to 2 people (sofa beds) and feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, safe (for a fee), kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities), a separate bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with shower/WC, and a furnished balcony with side sea view.
Optionally also bookable for single occupancy (1AS).

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room from January 1, 2025.
For stays in high season from April 1 to October 31:
