Location

The stylish Alexander Beach hotel complex, located 32 km east of Heraklion, is situated directly on the 800 m long, gently sloping sandy beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag.

The 5-star resort has 359 rooms in a main building and several outbuildings, and offers a 24-hour reception, high-speed Wi-Fi (included), a mini-market, a jeweler, a main restaurant, main bar, tavern, lounge bar, and the "Beach Club & Restaurant". In addition, an Italian restaurant (dinner) and the Asian restaurant "Lemon Grass" are available. For Summer 2026, the "Alexander Plaza" dining and wine area, with a renovated bar, a family restaurant and the trattoria "Oliva", will be opened. In the outdoor area, there are also 4 freshwater pools, large sun terraces, and a children's pool, as well as a pool bar with sushi and the Apollo Cocktail Bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and on the beach. Bath towels are provided free of charge.

Accommodation

Comfort Room with Garden View

The rooms are stylishly and comfortably furnished with a marble bathroom with bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, individually regulated air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), refrigerator, electric kettle with coffee and tea, and a balcony or terrace with seating area (D/DA). A bottle of water, wine, Cretan pastries, slippers and a bathroom set are provided upon arrival. A bottle of water is included daily and coffee/tea are also refilled daily.
Available at an extra charge with sea view (DM/DMI) or as a Comfort Room Beachfront (D2W).

Double Room Luxury Superior

In addition to the same amenities as the double rooms, these beautiful, spacious rooms feature an additional seating area, an extra-wide sliding glass door with mosquito screen, and garden view (DSU).
Also available at an extra charge as a Double Room Luxury Superior Beachfront (RF2), located directly by the sea.

Junior Suite Beachfront

These particularly comfortable accommodations, with the same amenities as the Comfort Rooms, additionally feature a coffee/tea station, Nespresso machine, mineral water (daily and included), separate toilet, a combined living/sleeping area, and are located in a prime location in the Village area, directly on the beach, with a private garden, sun loungers, and direct sea view (JB2).
A selection of fruit is included upon arrival, and bath towels for the pool are provided in the room.

Family Room Garden View

The family rooms, with otherwise the same amenities as the double rooms, consist of a combined living/sleeping area and are located on the garden side (DF2). Family rooms can be located in the main building as well as in the Village area.

Premium Family Room

The premium family rooms, with otherwise the same amenities as the double rooms, consist of a combined living/sleeping area and a separate bedroom with garden view (2FZ). Optionally available at an extra charge with sea view (2ZF).

Premium Suite Garden View

In addition to the amenities of the Superior Double Rooms, the suites feature more elegant furnishings and a separate living/sleeping area, plus a coffee/tea maker, Nespresso machine, and mineral water (daily refill, included, S2).
Optionally available at an extra charge with direct sea view in a prime location (S2M).
A selection of fruit is included upon arrival, and bath towels for the pool are provided in the room.

Dream Villa Athene 2 Bedrooms Beachfront private pool

The villas, with the same amenities as the suites, are located directly on the sea (seafront) and have 2 separate bedrooms and a private pool (bookable only on request, 2V2). A selection of fruit is included upon arrival, and bath towels for the pool are provided in the room.
The private pool is not supervised. Please pay special attention to your children when using this area and act with caution.

Dream Villa Aphrodite 2 Bedrooms Beachfront private pool

The Presidential Villas are a replica of typical Cretan stone houses. They have the same basic amenities as the suites, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living area. In addition to the spacious design, the large, private infinity pool and direct access to the beach, as well as the magnificent view, will exceed your expectations (bookable only on request, V2P).

Deluxe Bungalow Suite Artemis private pool

The elegant rooms, with the same amenities as the Junior Suites Beachfront, feature a visual separation and, instead of a private garden, a furnished terrace with a private pool and direct beach access (2WW).
The private pool is not supervised. Please pay special attention to your children when using this area and act with caution.

Meals

Breakfast/Half Board/Full Board

Breakfast (7:15 AM - 11 AM) and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM) served as a buffet with show cooking.
Theme buffets are offered six times a week in the evening.
Guests on half board can choose whether they want to have lunch or dinner. Full board includes lunch with a choice of menu. Once per stay, dinner can be enjoyed à la carte at the Italian trattoria "Oliva".
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

Sports included

2 tennis courts, beach volleyball, table tennis, basketball, aerobics, yoga and Pilates classes, water aerobics, and a large professional fitness center.

Note on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, payable by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, is tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day per room.
