Location

This classically built hotel is situated in an idyllic, quiet hillside location on the mountain side of Malia, nestled in a beautiful garden with a fantastic panoramic view of the bays of Malia and Stalis.
The beautiful sandy beach is just a few minutes' walk away, and the old town of Malia with its numerous shopping and entertainment facilities is approx. 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. A public bus stop is located directly below the hotel at approx. 200m. The distance to Heraklion Airport is approx. 35 km.

The personally managed establishment with German-speaking staff offers a friendly and family-like atmosphere, making it ideal for guests who want to spend their holidays among friends.
The hotel Matheo Villas & Suites, partially renovated in 2023, comprises a total of 83 rooms, with a reception area, a reception area renovated in 2023 (24h), a lift, a TV corner, and a restaurant with terrace and bar, also renovated in 2023 (both open seasonally). Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel free of charge. In the outdoor area, there is a swimming pool, also renovated in 2023, with a separate children's pool and a whirlpool (heated). Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and available at the beach for a fee. Pool towels are also available for a fee.

The rooms feature a walk-in rain shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, pool towels, air conditioning (included), safe (included), refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, satellite TV (German channels available), Wi-Fi (included), telephone, and a balcony or terrace with a side sea view (DMS). Alternatively, available as a super-saver room with garden view (SSZ) or at an extra charge as a double room with sea view (DM). Can also be booked for single occupancy with side sea view (DES).

Superior double room with side sea view

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms with side sea view but are more spacious and also offer an espresso machine, ironing station, and a sofa bed (D2S). Optionally available with sea view at an extra charge (DMU/DIM).

Suite with side sea view

The spacious suites, with the same amenities as the superior double rooms, feature a separate living/sleeping area with a connecting door and a side sea view (2SS). Optionally available with sea view at an extra charge (S2M).
