The cozy Hotel Elea Terra is located on the quiet outskirts of the beautiful former fishing village of Matala, only approx. 550 m from the beach. The center of the picturesque village of Matala with some restaurants and bars is about 750 m from the hotel. The beautiful and popular red beach "Kokkini Ammos" is accessible via a hiking trail and is about 2.3 km away. Heraklion International Airport is about 65 km from "Elea Terra".

The small, family-run hotel has been partially renovated in some areas for Summer 2024. It offers 60 rooms spread across three buildings, featuring a 24-hour reception, lobby, TV lounge, main bar, elevator (in the main building), Wi-Fi (included throughout the property), and a restaurant. The well-maintained outdoor area includes a swimming pool and a newly designed and furnished pool bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool, and for a fee on the beach.

These modern and spacious rooms were renovated in Summer 2024 and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, full-length mirror, individually adjustable air conditioning (for a fee), ceiling fan, Wi-Fi (included), telephone, coffee/tea maker, rental safe, Smart satellite TV, mini-fridge, iron (on request), and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DSU/DSI). Also available for single use (DSE).

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites have the same amenities as the Double Rooms Superior but are more spacious (JS2).

Note on Climate Resilience Contribution

For stays from January 1, 2018 onwards, the Greek government has implemented a climate resilience contribution, payable by guests locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from January 1, 2025, will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room.
