Location

The hotel is located in a quiet area on the west side of the small resort town of Plakias, separated from the beach only by a small road. The town center with various shopping and entertainment facilities, bars, and restaurants is easily accessible on foot. The hotel is approximately 100 km from Heraklion Airport.

Facilities

The Horizon Beach hotel has a total of 27 rooms, a lobby with reception, TV corner, Wi-Fi (included), an elevator, and a breakfast room with a terrace overlooking the sea. The outdoor area features a sun terrace with loungers. Bath towels are available at the reception upon request for a deposit. Parking is available at the hotel free of charge, subject to availability.

Double room with side sea view

The double rooms have a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), refrigerator, safety deposit box (for a fee), and a balcony or terrace with a side sea view (DMS). Double rooms with a direct sea view can also be booked for an additional charge (DM/DMI).

Single room

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms and are available for single occupancy (DEA). Single rooms with a side sea view are also available (DES).

Horse riding, cycling, hiking, and water sports are available through local providers in the town.

Note on climate resilience fee

For stays from 01/01/2018 onwards, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will range from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room from 01/01/2025.
