Location

The Rethymno Village hotel is located in the resort town of Platanias, about 6 km east of Rethymno. The city with its historic center around the "Fortezza" fortress is easily accessible by bus or taxi. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, there are numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes. The beautiful sandy/pebble beach, stretching for 7 km, is only 100 meters away. Heraklion Airport is approximately 77 km away, and Chania Airport is approximately 72 km away.

Facilities

The Rethymno Village hotel has 137 rooms and offers a reception area with a 24-hour reception, luggage room, lounge with terrace, TV corner, bar, and main restaurant with terrace. Wi-Fi is included throughout the complex. In the garden area, there is a freshwater swimming pool with a separate children's pool, a sun terrace with loungers and umbrellas (included), and a pool/snackbar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available on the beach for a fee, and pool towels can also be purchased for a fee. Parking spaces are available to guests in the outdoor area.

The comfortably furnished double rooms have a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, individually adjustable air conditioning/heating (included), rental safe, telephone, 43" Smart TV with music channels, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, and balcony or terrace (D/DI).
Also available as super-saver rooms (located only on the ground floor, SSZ) or as double rooms for single occupancy (DE/DEA).

Family room

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms and are slightly more spacious (DF2).

Snacks at the pool bar from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, ice cream between 12:30 PM and 9:00 PM, and coffee/tea and cake between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Local non-alcoholic beverages from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, as well as local beer, rosé, and white wine from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the open bars are included. A coffee machine for black coffee, cappuccino, and espresso is available for self-service from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, ranges from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euros per day per room, tiered.
