The family-friendly Katrin hotel complex is located just approx. 250 m from the beautiful sandy beach of Stalis (separated only by a coastal road) and approx. 200 m from the center. The center of Chersonissos with numerous shopping and entertainment facilities is approx. 4 km away, and a public bus stop is approx. 150 m away. Heraklion Airport is approx. 30 km away.

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel has 118 accommodation units, spread across a main building and several outbuildings. Amenities include a lobby with a reception (24h), a lounge, Wi-Fi in all public areas (included), the main bar "Dionissos", and the buffet restaurant "Ambrosia". The outdoor area offers various pool areas with an activity pool with a separate children's splash pool and in the adult area (18 years and over) with a relaxation pool and a whirlpool, various sun terraces with loungers and umbrellas (included), and the pool bars "Posidon" and "Sunshine". For Summer 2024, further parts of the outdoor area have been modernized and re-furnished, and the main bar and main restaurant have also been modernized. Bath towels are available for a fee. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available at the beach for a fee.

Double Room Annex

These double rooms are located in the annex buildings, have been renovated, and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, telephone, mini-fridge, a safe for rent, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DA).

Superior Double Room

The Superior Double Rooms are located in the main building and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, telephone, mini-fridge, a safe for rent, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DSU/SSX).
Also available for single use (DSE/DAE) or as a Superior Economy Room (2US).

Superior Double Room with Whirlpool

With otherwise the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these are renovated, located in the annex buildings, and additionally feature a ceiling fan and whirlpool (J2N).
The whirlpool is not supervised. Please exercise caution when using this area, especially with children, and behave responsibly.

With otherwise the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, these are renovated, located in the annex buildings, and additionally feature a ceiling fan and plunge pool (DPL/DAB).
The plunge pool is not supervised. Please exercise caution when using this area, especially with children, and behave responsibly.

Family Room

These rooms are mainly located in the annex buildings, have been renovated, and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, 2 Smart TVs, telephone, mini-fridge, a safe for rent, a combined living/sleeping area (open plan) with an additional bunk bed, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DF2/JSF).

Located in the annex buildings, these rooms have been renovated and are identically equipped as the family rooms, featuring a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, 2 Smart TVs, telephone, mini-fridge, a safe for rent, a combined living/sleeping area (open plan) with an additional bunk bed, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (JL2/JSF).

Family Suite

Located in the annex buildings, these rooms have been renovated and, with otherwise the same amenities as the family rooms, are more spacious with a second Smart TV, ceiling fan, and an additional separate bedroom with a bunk bed (2FS/2ZA).

Suite schauinsland-reisen

Located in the annex buildings, these rooms have been renovated and are identically equipped as the family suites. With otherwise the same amenities as the family rooms, they are more spacious with a second Smart TV, ceiling fan, and an additional separate bedroom with a bunk bed (2SI/2ZA).

Superior Family Suite

The Superior Family Suite offers, with the same amenities and size as the Family Suite, sleeping facilities for up to 3 people in the separate bedroom (2FF).

Breakfast (7:30 AM - 10 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM) are served buffet-style. Snacks are available during the day (11 AM - 12:30 PM), ice cream for children only (12 PM - 3:30 PM), and coffee/tea and cake (4 PM - 5 PM). Soft drinks, beer, and house wine are included with meals. At the open bar(s), local non-alcoholic beverages and selected local alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, ouzo, brandy, and raki) are included from 11 AM to 11 PM. From 6 PM to 11 PM, local vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, and tequila are also included. Additionally, the cocktail of the day is included from 9 PM to 10 PM.

Information on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room as of January 1, 2025.
