Location

Separated from the beach only by the coastal road, Cactus Beach is located near one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Stalis. Centrally located between Agios Nikolaos and the capital Heraklion, and only approx. 35 km from the international airport. In the immediate vicinity, you will find numerous bars, tavernas, entertainment, and shopping facilities.

Facilities

The very popular holiday complex, with many regular guests and families, offers 388 rooms spread across several buildings. It features a 24-hour reception, lobby, luggage room, air-conditioned main restaurant, 2 à la carte restaurants (Greek, Italian, reservation required, seasonal opening), bar, and a mini-market. Wi-Fi is included throughout the complex.
In the lovingly maintained and colorfully planted grounds, there are 3 freshwater pools, 1 children's pool, sun terraces, various pool/snack bars, and a beach bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool, and available at the beach for a fee. Beach towels available for a deposit (exchange for a fee).
On-site parking is available free of charge, subject to availability.
Guests can enjoy a water park (seasonally open) with 2 large water slides and an exciting pirate ship with 3 small slides for children.

Double room

The friendly furnished rooms have a shower/WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe (for a fee), satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water on arrival), and a balcony or terrace (D).
Also available for single occupancy (DE).

Family room

These rooms are somewhat more spacious than the double rooms, with the same amenities, and feature an additional sleeping option (1 room, DF2).

These rooms are somewhat more spacious than the double rooms, with the same amenities, and consist of 2 connecting bedrooms with an internal door (2F).

Breakfast (7-10 am), lunch (12:30-2 pm), and dinner (6-9 pm) are served buffet-style, with some live cooking stations.
Once per stay, dinner is included in one of the à la carte restaurants (Greek or Italian, reservation required, seasonal opening).
Snacks are available at the pool bars and the beach bar from 10 am to 5 pm. Pastries and ice cream from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages such as soft drinks, draft beer, wine, ouzo, raki, vodka, rum, gin, brandy, liqueurs, and selected cocktails are included from 10 am to 11 pm at the respective open bar.
Gluten-free and lactose-free meals are available upon request locally.

Information on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from January 1, 2025, will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room.
For stays during high season, April 1 - October 31:
National category 1-2 stars: 2 Euros
National category 3 stars: 5 Euros
National category 4 stars: 10 Euros
National category 5 stars: 15 Euros
For stays during low season, November 1 - March 31:
National category 1-2 stars: 0.50 Euros
