Location

The 4-star hotel is located in the picturesque family region of Katschberg-Rennweg, directly on the main ridge of the Tauern mountains at an altitude of 1600m, on the border between Carinthia and Salzburg. This privileged location makes the hotel an ideal starting point for nature lovers and active holidaymakers who wish to enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery. In close proximity are the two national parks "Kärntner Nockberge" and "Hohe Tauern". Whether on extensive hikes or mountain bike tours – the surroundings offer countless opportunities to discover nature. The hotel is only about 100 meters from the center with restaurants, bars, and shops, allowing guests to quickly reach the amenities of the region.

Facilities

The hotel Das Katschberg has 65 comfortable rooms that are modernly furnished. Further amenities include a lounge, a restaurant, and a cozy bar.
For additional comfort, there is an elevator, as well as a sun terrace with loungers and parasols (subject to availability), inviting you to relax in the mountain sun.

Double Room Bergkristall

The Double Room Bergkristall (D, approx. 28m²) offers a cozy ambiance. It features a bath or shower, a separate toilet, a hairdryer, satellite TV, a safe, and a sofa bed. Some rooms have a balcony.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (JS2, approx. 28-32m²) are equipped with a double bed and a sofa bed and some feature a freestanding bathtub. Otherwise, they have the same amenities as the double rooms and a balcony.

Apartment Deluxe

The spacious Apartment Deluxe (D2A, approx. 45-60m²) features modern furnishings and two separate double bedrooms. The bathroom is spacious and has a shower and a separate toilet. It also offers a balcony, telephone, radio, and cable TV.

The elegant "Katschberg" Suites (S2, approx. 46m²-50m²) consist of a bedroom and a separate living room with a pull-out sofa. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, there is a separate toilet, and a balcony.

Once per stay, admission to Mauterndorf Castle, Badeinsel Tamsweg with giant slide, St. Michael outdoor pool, Maria Pfarr outdoor pool, Rennweg outdoor pool, Mauterndorf adventure pool, admission to various museums, admission to Familypark Smarty-Land Mauterndorf, Outdoorpark/Waterpark Lungau, Eselpark Maltatal, and minigolf in Mauterndorf, St. Michael, and Tamsweg. Once per stay, a ride on the E-Tschu-Tschu-Bahn and the Maria Pfarr steam train. Once per stay, pony rides at Ponyalm and a guided hike.
