Location

Spend a unique holiday in Zauchensee. The Hotel Sportwelt is located at an altitude of approx. 1,350 m. You can reach cafés and restaurants in approx. 30 m, and the nearest shopping facilities are about 8 km from your holiday accommodation. The nearest sight (Eisriesenwelt ice caves) is approx. 40 km away. In approximately 100 m distance, the picturesque Zauchensee lake awaits all water lovers. In Altenmarkt, about 10 km away, the public Amadé thermal spa invites you to enjoy bathing fun regardless of the weather. The Meistercup adventure park for Alpine animals is located just about 300 m from the hotel. Entertaining hours also await you at the Wagraini's Grafenberg adventure park, approximately 20 km away.
In summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for extensive hikes and bike tours. A hiking bus (for a fee) will take you to the directly adjacent Zauchensee-Alm hiking area with a network of hiking trails totaling approx. 195 km. The hiking bus stop is about 250 m away. The Gamskogel mountain railway is also accessible in about 300 m. Due to its special location, your holiday destination is perfect for cyclists. You can let off steam on a bike path directly at the house and with an extensive overall network of cycle paths of about 200 km.

Your holiday resort offers a wide selection of eateries, unspoiled nature, and an impressive mountain backdrop. Experience wonderfully relaxing hours at the Erlebnis-Therme Amadé thermal spa, approx. 1.4 km away. Enjoy the charm of nature on a bike or mountain bike, or on extensive hikes. An extensive network of cycle paths and well-marked hiking trails offer the optimal conditions for this. The area can also be wonderfully explored while Nordic walking. Especially in summer, you can combine nature experience and sports activities excellently in and around Zauchensee while swimming.

Facilities

The 3-star Hotel Sportwelt offers a welcoming lobby with seating areas, a reception, and a luggage storage room, in addition to its 65 accommodation units. Enjoy culinary delights in the restaurant and the "Zirbenstüberl" parlour. You can round off an eventful day of your holiday in good company at the hotel bar "Sportweltbar" or at the public bar "Almbar," located about 150 m from the hotel. A terrace is also available for relaxation. Cyclists can use the hotel's own, lockable bicycle storage room. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Full Board

The meal plan starts with dinner on the day of arrival and ends with lunch or a packed lunch on the day of departure.
- Breakfast (7:30 AM - 10 AM): extensive, varied breakfast buffet with rolls, pastries, various wholemeal breads, various jams & honey, various cold cuts, ham and bacon, soft-boiled eggs, fresh juice, muesli, cornflakes or similar, milk, fresh fruit, and breakfast drinks
