Location

Spend a relaxing yet active holiday in Zauchensee. The Magic Mountains Hotel Salzburgerhof (altitude approx. 1350 m) is located right in the center. Cafés and restaurants are about 30 m away, and the nearest shops are approximately 10 km from your holiday accommodation. Nearest
attraction: Zauchensee Observatory (approx. 5-minute walk). In your holiday resort, about 350 m away, a picturesque swimming lake awaits all water enthusiasts. You can also cool off on hot summer days at the public adventure pool in Eben im Pongau, about 14 km away. In
Altenmarkt, about 10 km away, the public Amadé thermal spa invites you for swimming fun regardless of the weather. Approximately 4.3 km from the hotel is the "Weltcup der Tiere" adventure playground (take the cable car up the mountain; approx. 10-minute walk).
In summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for extensive hikes and bike tours. A hiking bus (for a fee) will take you to the directly adjacent hiking area Altenmarkt-Zauchensee with a total hiking trail network of approx. 195 km, including the Mondpfad and Bauernregelweg trails. The hiking bus stop is about 50 m away. The Gamskogelbahn cable car is also about 250 m away. Due to its special location, your holiday resort is perfect for cyclists. You can explore the extensive network of cycle paths of approximately 480 km, starting directly from the hotel.

Facilities

The Magic Mountains Salzburgerhof, partially renovated in 2023 and family-friendly, offers a reception area, a lounge, a wine cellar, an e-bike charging station, an e-car charging station, and a panoramic lounge in addition to its 52 accommodation units.
The hotel offers a diverse culinary experience. Enjoy gastronomic delights in the à la carte restaurant, the "Fürstensaal" restaurant, and the two parlors "Pionierstube" and "Bauernstube." You can end an eventful day at the hotel bar in good company. Furthermore, a winter garden, a terrace, and a garden are available for relaxation. Cyclists can use the hotel's bicycle storage room. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Exclusive Family Suite

The bright, non-smoking rooms (FAG, approx. 45 sqm) feature cable TV, Sky, telephone, radio, minibar (for a fee), shower and bathtub, separate WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, and a balcony. The rooms consist of two sleeping areas with a double bed and a double sofa bed, respectively.
Optionally also bookable as type A (FAH) for up to 5 people.

Adjoining rooms

The bright rooms (CI2, approx. 48 sqm total) feature cable TV, telephone, radio, minibar (for a fee), shower/WC, hairdryer, and a balcony. They consist of two double rooms separated from each other, each with a sleeping area and a double bed.

Single room (Summer 2026)

The bright, non-smoking rooms (E, approx. 14 sqm) feature cable TV, Sky, telephone, radio, minibar (for a fee), shower and bathtub, separate WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, and a balcony. The rooms consist of a sleeping area with a fixed single bed.

Meals

Full board

Board begins with dinner on arrival day and ends with lunch or a packed lunch on departure day.
- Breakfast: (7:30 AM - 10 AM): rich, varied breakfast buffet with rolls, pastries, various whole grain breads, assorted jams & honey, various cold cuts, ham, and bacon, soft-boiled eggs, fresh juice, muesli, cornflakes or similar, milk, fresh fruit, and breakfast beverages.
- Lunch "Light Lunch": Salad buffet (at least 3 different types), 1 cheese and 1 cold cut platter each, assorted breads, hot dishes such as hearty soup (e.g., goulash soup), pasta dishes, Kaiserschmarren, sausages, Gröstl, meatballs, Leberkäse, and mashed potatoes or similar.
- Packed lunch: Guests can prepare their own packed lunch upon prior arrangement. The packed lunch consists of: 2 rolls, 1 sweet item, 1 drink, and 1 piece of fruit.
- Dinner: 3-course set menu (at least two main courses to choose from) and an additional salad buffet or a corresponding themed buffet. Dinner is served at the level of the respective hotel category. Children have the option to choose from an adult menu.
- Drinks: Non-alcoholic soft drinks are included with lunch and dinner.
