Location

Hotel BLÜ is centrally located in Bad Hofgastein, offering an ideal base for exploring both the town and the surrounding nature. Cafés, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance, perfect for an eventful stay. Other attractions include the Alpentherme Bad Hofgastein (approx. 350 m) and the Schlossalmbahn cable car (approx. 900 m). The Gastein Valley is a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, and nature enthusiasts, with numerous hiking and nature trails providing a great active holiday in Austria. Travel is possible from Salzburg Airport (SZG) or the Gastein train station.

Facilities

The friendly hotel, partially renovated in 2025, consists of a main building and a separate annex "Baumhaus." The two buildings are connected above ground and are located right next to each other. The BLÜ rooms combine traditional elements with modern style, offering a high level of comfort. The accommodation also features a welcoming lobby with seating, a reception, a garden rooftop terrace, and a complimentary e-bike charging station. For soothing relaxation, there is the beautiful "HimmelBlü Spa" (approx. 575 m²) with a Finnish sauna, organic sauna, and a relaxation room. Culinary delights await guests in the "BLÜ" restaurant, which includes a breakfast room, a cozy parlor, and an à la carte area, as well as the hotel bar for a nightcap. Cyclists can use the hotel's lockable bicycle storage room.

Double Room "Small"

These cozy, bright double rooms are located in the main building and feature a double bed, flat-screen TV, safe, hairdryer, shower or bathtub, toilet, and a balcony (approx. 16m², D).

Single Room "Solo"

Also located in the main building, the "Solo" single rooms offer a single bed and are otherwise similarly equipped to the double rooms (approx. 14m², E).

Double Room 1 Extra Bed "Classic"

These charming and spacious rooms in the main building are similar to the double rooms and offer a double bed plus an additional single sofa bed for another person (approx. 22-25m², Z1D).

Double Room Type B "Mood"

The Type B "MOOD" double rooms, located in the main building, were renovated in 2025 and are bright and simply furnished with many wood tones. Otherwise, they are equipped similarly to the double rooms, but only with a shower (approx. 16m², DB).

Double Room Type C "Vibe"

These are also among the renovated rooms in the main building and, in addition to the double bed, offer a single sofa bed for another person (approx. 17m², DC).

Double Room Type E "Soul"

The double rooms "SOUL" are newly renovated in the main building with a modern design featuring color accents. They are similar to Type C double rooms but slightly more spacious (approx. 23m², DI).

Double Room Type A "Cool"

The cozy and very modern "COOL" double rooms are located in the "Baumhaus" annex and offer a double bed, flat-screen TV, safe, hairdryer, shower, toilet, and a balcony (approx. 24m², DA).

Double Room Type D "Wow"

With otherwise similar amenities and location to Type A double rooms, these are even more spacious (approx. 28m², DD).

* Enjoy a delightful breakfast buffet with, for example, selected coffee and tea specialties, oven-fresh homemade baked goods, preserves, compotes, and roasted items, egg dishes from regional eggs, cheese from the Salzburg region, and ham and sausage from local butchers.

* Delightful Blü breakfast buffet:

* Lunch OR Dinner:
Enjoy a 3-course meal at the Blü restaurant at a time of your choosing (either between 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM), following the motto "Be as you wish."

NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying in the state of Salzburg from May 1, 2025, there is a new levy called the "Mobility Tax."
