Located in the beautiful Salzburg region, the cozy Gasthof Zur Post is an excellent accommodation for a mountain holiday. This popular region combines relaxation and activities in a stunning natural landscape with striking mountains and crystal-clear lakes. The 3-star inn is surrounded by the idyllic village scenery, with a nearby church, village fountain, and community center, and is situated right in the center of Maishofen. Other recommended excursion destinations include Lake Zell (approx. 2 km away) or the Hohe Tauern National Park. Its proximity to the ski areas of Zell am See and Kaprun makes the inn a popular choice for winter sports enthusiasts.

Facilities

With a total of 20 lovingly designed rooms in a traditional yet elegant ambiance, the inn particularly impresses with its diverse recreational opportunities in-house and in the surrounding area. Carefully selected dishes made with regional and fresh ingredients provide culinary highlights, enhanced by the rustic decor of the restaurant. The beautiful beer garden in the heart of Maishofen is also particularly popular in the summer. Parking is available directly at the inn. For relaxation, there are comfortable rooms with wooden furniture and soft colors, as well as a sauna area on the first floor offering a magnificent view of nature. In the summer, there is also a natural swimming pond in the Post garden. Overall, the inn scores with its special flair and great hospitality.

Double Room

The traditionally furnished double rooms offer a comfortable double bed and a double sofa bed, as well as a bathroom with a bathtub or shower, toilet, bathrobe (included at reception), and hairdryer. Further amenities include a balcony, TV, radio, seating area, and Wi-Fi (approx. 26m², D).

Single Room

For solo travelers, these comfortable and slightly smaller rooms feature a double bed; however, the rest of the amenities are similar to the double rooms (approx. 20m², E).

NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying in the state of Salzburg from May 1, 2025, there is a new levy, the "Mobility Tax." This fee is collected along with the local tax per overnight stay and contributes to the development of transportation.
