Spend a relaxing yet sporty and active holiday in Maria Alm. The non-smoking Marco Polo Alpina Familien- und Sporthotel (altitude approx. 1000 m) is located in the Hinterthal district, about 5 km from the center. Cafes and restaurants are right next door, and the nearest shops are about 5 km from your holiday accommodation. In Saalfelden, about 18 km away, the picturesque Ritzensee lake awaits all water enthusiasts. You can also cool off on hot summer days at the public outdoor pool Sommerstein in Maria Alm, located about 8 km away.

In the summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. A (free) hiking bus takes you to the directly adjacent Hochkönig hiking area with the Butterfly Trail. The hiking bus stop is about 350 m away. The Hochmaisbahn cable car is also about 850 m away. You can exercise and enjoy the scenery on a cycle path located directly at the hotel.

In winter, the accommodation is particularly suitable for alpine skiers, cross-country skiers, and for extensive winter hikes. If there is sufficient snow, you can ski directly to the Marco Polo Alpina Familien und Sporthotel. A ski bus stop is located about 100 m from the hotel, and the ski bus is free to use. A practice lift (directly at the hotel) is available for beginner skiers. The cable car in the Ski Amadé ski area is only about 200 m from the hotel. The nearest cross-country ski trail is directly at the hotel.

Especially in summer, you can combine a great nature experience with sporting activity when fishing in and around Maria Alm. Tennis is also a great way to stay active. Spend an eventful day at the Erlebnispark Sommerstein amusement park with its summer toboggan run.

Facilities

In addition to a total of 106 accommodation units, the Marco Polo Alpina Familien- und Sporthotel offers a welcoming lobby with seating areas, a reception, a lounge, and an e-car charging station. Your accommodation consists of a main building and an annex building, with the main and annex buildings connected. Enjoy culinary delights in the à la carte restaurant "Bistro," the breakfast room, the restaurant "Ambiente," and a cozy "Stüberl." You can round off an eventful day of vacation in good company at the hotel bar "Hochkönig Bar." There is also a terrace, open in winter, for relaxation. A lockable ski and snowboard storage room, accessible from the hotel, is available for your winter sports equipment.
In summer, cyclists have the option to store their bikes in the hotel's own lockable bicycle storage room. Smoking is not permitted in the entire hotel area.

The living/sleeping area has a double bed and a single sofa bed.
