Location

The traditional village of Alpbach impresses with its diverse options. Your holiday destination also offers a unique combination of tradition and modernity. In addition, there are several interesting excursion destinations in the surroundings of Alpbach waiting to be visited. For example, the Matzen Castle, about 10 km away, is particularly recommended. As soon as the first snowflakes fall, Alpbach shows its winter splendor with snow-covered peaks. Now, the main focus is naturally on winter sports due to the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area located directly in the village, with a total of around 109 km of slopes. Ice skating is just one of the activities you can enjoy.
Spend a relaxing yet sporty and active holiday in Alpbach. The hotel Die Alpbacherin (altitude approx. 970 m) is located directly in the center. The nearest attraction (Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser - year-round Alpine Coaster) is about 2.2 km away. The Wiedersbergerhornbahn cable car is about 2.3 km away. The location is also suitable for winter sports beginners, as a practice lift is only about 40m away.

The friendly hotel Die Alpbacherin, built in 2019, offers a total of 53 rooms, a welcoming lobby with seating, a reception, an outdoor pool, a terrace, a garden, an e-bike charging station, an e-car charging station, and a beautiful wellness area (approx. 500 m²) with various saunas, an infrared cabin, and a relaxation room. For your culinary well-being, there is a restaurant, the hotel bar, and a cozy lounge. Cyclists can use the hotel's lockable bicycle storage room. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Double room with 2 extra beds

The bright rooms (Z2D, approx. 20-25 m²) feature flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, direct-dial telephones, showers, toilets, kettles with tea-making facilities, and a balcony. The rooms consist of a sleeping area with a double bed, and depending on occupancy, there is the option to prepare a double sofa bed.

Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area: Altitude: approx. 650-2,025 m The 5 villages of Auffach, Niederau, Oberau, Alpbach, and Reith im Alpbachtal together form the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area, with only one ski pass needed for all villages. This winter sports area, particularly popular with families, offers well-groomed slopes, freeriding opportunities, a race track, and practice lifts for beginners. But it's not just skiers who get their money's worth here, as the area is considered a cross-country skiing Eldorado with approx. 50 km of classic cross-country ski trails. Various restaurants near the slopes offer warming drinks and food. 2 snow parks and a toboggan run promise a lot of fun.
