Location

The idyllic village of Niederau, a district of Wildschönau, impresses with its quiet location. The holiday resort at approx. 797 meters above sea level offers plenty of space to truly unwind during your vacation. To explore the holiday region from a culinary perspective, you can visit local businesses in the village (e.g., Schaukäserei Holzalm Kasalm). The "Bergbauernmuseum Z'Bach," approx. 2 km away, is particularly recommended.
As soon as winter arrives, Niederau reveals its wintry splendor. The main focus, naturally, is on winter sports due to the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area located directly in the village, with a total piste length of around 109 km. The nearest lift is approx. 400m away, and a free ski bus provides access. Additionally, there's a drag lift just about 50m away.
In summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for hikes. A hiking area is located directly behind the hotel. The mountain railway can be reached in approx. 500m.

Facilities

At the Wastlhof, you'll feel the warmth and hospitality immediately upon entering the cozy reception hall. The Wastlhof was partially renovated in 2022 and features a total of 65 units, a reception hall, a reception desk, an e-bike charging station, as well as a riding arena and stable (for a fee, approx. 800m²). The accommodation consists of a main building and an adjacent 4-star "Alpin Lodge" building, with the main and adjacent buildings connected underground. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at the restaurant and the Stüberl. The hotel bar is the perfect place to end an exciting day of vacation with a delicious drink.

The apartments consist of an anteroom, a bedroom, and a living/sleeping room, and have a refrigerator. The living/sleeping room has a double sofa bed. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed.

Seasonal information

Winter:
Ski area Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau: Altitude: approx. 650-2,025 m. The 5 villages of Auffach, Niederau, Oberau, Alpbach, and Reith jointly form the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area, with a single ski pass valid for all villages. This winter sports area, particularly popular with families, offers perfectly groomed pistes and opportunities for freeriding, a race course, and practice lifts for beginners. The JUPPI-DO children's area at the valley station provides many activities for the youngest skiers. But it's not just skiers who get their money's worth here, as the area is considered a cross-country skiing paradise with approx. 50 km of classic cross-country trails. Various restaurants near the pistes offer warming drinks and food. 2 snow parks and a toboggan run promise plenty of fun.
