Location

The charming village of Tux, nestled at the foot of the Hintertux Glacier, impresses with its peaceful location, multifaceted offerings, and special flair. Your holiday destination also boasts an extensive selection of restaurants and cozy bars. Discover the culinary side of your holiday region by visiting local establishments (e.g., ErlebnisSennerei Zillertal in Mayrhofen, approx. 14.2 km away). Enjoy a refreshing dip at the Erlebnisbad Mayrhofen indoor pool, just 21 km away. Immerse yourself in the wonderful landscape with extensive hikes or mountain bike tours.
In winter, a free ski bus with a stop directly at the hotel will take you to the nearest lift. The ski areas Lanersbach and Hintertux Glacier are easily accessible. A practice lift for beginners is reachable in approx. 1 km, and the cross-country ski trail starts right outside the hotel.

Facilities

The Hotel Höhlenstein, partially renovated in 2021 and rated 4 stars, offers a total of 28 accommodation units, including a welcoming lobby with seating areas, a reception, and an e-bike charging station. Indulge in culinary delights in the restaurant and a traditional Stüberl. You can round off an eventful day of vacation in a convivial atmosphere at the hotel bar. Additionally, a winter garden and a terrace are available for relaxation. Cyclists can make use of the hotel's own lockable bicycle storage room. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.

The traditionally furnished and spacious rooms feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, radio, seating area, shower or bathtub, WC, hairdryer, kettle, coffee and tea maker, double bed, and a balcony (DSU, approx. 22 m²).
