Location

Beach holiday on Madeira! The popular hotel is located next to a small marina, right on the golden sandy beach (artificially created) of Calheta. A rarity on Madeira, as only a few hotels on this beautiful island offer direct access to a sandy beach. The town is about a 10-minute walk away (1 km). Funchal is about 35 km and Madeira's International Airport is about a 40-minute drive (approx. 50 km) from the hotel. We recommend booking a car (EDV code: FNC012A) to explore the island comfortably.

The beachfront hotel has a total of 153 rooms and suites for your well-being, spread across two buildings and 5 floors. In addition to a reception area with Wi-Fi (free in public areas), lounges, 2 elevators, and 3 bars, the hotel offers a buffet restaurant with show cooking, an à la carte restaurant 'Onda Azul', and the 'Local Beach Restaurant'. The outdoor area features a landscaped sun terrace with a swimming pool and a children's pool (umbrellas, loungers/cushions, and first bath towel included; change for a fee). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available at the beach for a fee.

Double Room

The approx. 22.5 sqm tastefully furnished double rooms (D) have a bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet, and hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe (for a fee), minibar (for a fee), and a furnished balcony. Double rooms with sea view (DM) can be booked at an additional cost. All double rooms are located in the main building. Suitable for a maximum of 2 adults.
Double rooms for single occupancy (DE) and double rooms with sea view for single occupancy (DEM) can also be booked at an additional cost.
Additionally bookable as a double room with sea view type A (DMA, single occupancy AME in Summer 25) including All-Inclusive meal plan.

Superior Suite Sea View

The Superior Suites with sea view (SUM) are located in the main building and have the same amenities as the double rooms, but are significantly more spacious (approx. 60 sqm) and feature a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a separate toilet, a living area with a sofa bed, a separate bedroom, a coffee/tea maker, and a large balcony with direct sea view.

Suite

The suites (S2) have the same amenities as the double rooms but are larger and feature a living area with an open kitchenette, a separate bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a separate toilet, and a balcony.
Suites with side sea view (MS2) or suites with sea view (S2M) are available at an additional cost. The suites and suites with side sea view are located in a separate building behind the main building (connected by a corridor).

Family Suite (FNCA03)

The cozy and approx. 44 sqm family suites feature a combined living and sleeping area, shower/toilet, TV, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe (for a fee), minibar (for a fee), and a balcony (2FS,KFS,3FS.KF3). Also available at an additional cost with side sea view (FSS) or sea view (2FM).

All meals are served buffet-style. Half a bottle of wine or a beer or a soft drink, as well as water and coffee or tea, are included with dinner.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served buffet-style with table drinks in the Calheta restaurant. Breakfast from 7:30 AM to 10 AM. Lunch from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Snacks in the Calheta restaurant from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 2:30 PM to 6 PM (sandwiches, pastries, and hot drinks). Dinner from 6 PM to 9 PM. Selected national alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from 10 AM to 11 PM at the open bar (Bar Por Do Sol or Rabacal Bar). Premium drinks are available at an extra charge. À la carte restaurants 'Onda Azul' (included daily, advance reservation at reception) and the 'Local Beach Restaurant' (included twice a week, advance reservation at reception). The restaurant 'Alambique' (at the Saccharum hotel, credit will be applied to your final bill) is also available by reservation (24 hours in advance).
