Location

Located directly on the sea, on a cliff above "Doca do Cavacas" and "Praia Formosa" with panoramic views of the Atlantic. Funchal center is approx. 4.5 km away, Praia Formosa beach is approx. 10 minutes on foot, and the Lido is just a few minutes away. Shopping facilities, such as the modern shopping center "Forum," are in the immediate vicinity, and a bus stop is right in front of the hotel.

The comfortable and modernly furnished 4-star hotel has a total of 172 rooms, suites, and apartments spread across 7 floors and 3 buildings (A, B, and C). Amenities include a reception hall with a seating area, 2 elevators per building section, a restaurant, 2 bars, an internet corner (free of charge), and Wi-Fi (free throughout the hotel), a TV corner, and a library. In the well-maintained garden, the freshwater swimming pool with sun terrace and pool bar "Goldenout" (open in summer) invites you to swim and relax. Separate from the adult pool, there is a children's pool. Additionally, guests can enjoy a heated indoor pool.

Apartment with partial sea view

The apartments with partial sea view are located in Building B, are approximately 62 m² in size, and feature, in addition to the same amenities as the double rooms, a living/dining room with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchenette (stove, microwave, etc.) (2AS).
Apartment with sea view bookable for an additional charge (2AM). Occupancy with 2 adults, 2 children, and 1 baby possible upon request.
Bookable as an apartment with partial sea view Type O with a special price and limited availability (ASO).

Suite

The suites (approx. 52 m²) have the same amenities as the apartments, but with a slightly smaller living/dining room, a fully equipped kitchenette, located in Building A (S2).

Star Tour Excursion Program (subject to change/daily arrival possible):
Eira do Serrado/Monte (Monday/Thursday): Discover Madeira's most beautiful panoramas on this half-day tour. From the Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint, you overlook Funchal Bay and continue to Eira do Serrado, from where you can look down into the crater of an extinct volcano. At the bottom lies the village of Curral das Freiras (Nun's Valley). Continue to Monte, where you will visit the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. On the way back, you have the opportunity to ride the traditional wicker sledges. (Not included in the price)
Porto Moniz (Wednesday/Friday): Departure towards Câmara de Lobos (fishing village where the famous Espada - Black Scabbardfish - is caught). Continue via Cabo Girão (highest sea cliff in Europe at 580m), then the route leads along the coast to Ribeira Brava. From Ponta de Sol, ascend to the Pául da Serra plateau (1400m). Finally, descend to Porto Moniz to the natural sea pools. Lunch break is taken here. The return journey is via the north coast, passing through Seixal to São Vicente. From there, ascend over the Encumeada pass (1007m), where you can see the north and south coasts simultaneously. Afterwards, return to Funchal.
Santana (Tuesday/Saturday): Departure into the mountains via Poiso towards Pico do Arieiro (1810m). Descend to Ribeiro Frio. Here you are in the heart of Madeira's Laurissilva forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Santana, known for its thatched houses. Lunch break is taken here. Afterwards, proceed to Pico do Facho. Then return to Funchal.
Levada and Botanical Garden (Monday/Wednesday): The 4th and final excursion leads us to the Botanical Garden, famous for its approx. 3,000 different plant species, after an approx. 1.5-hour Levada walk (difficulty level: easy) (entrance fee and guided tour included).
