Embarkation in the port of Palma de Mallorca takes place on Tuesdays – Costa Smeralda departs from Palma around 6 PM.
Day 1: SEA DAY - Relax on board.
DAY 2: ROME/CIVITAVECCHIA - The "Eternal City" and capital of Italy will take you back to the Roman Empire era. Discover the diversity of this unique city and visit sights like the Colosseum, the Vatican with St. Peter's Basilica, or the Spanish Steps.
Day 3: LA SPEZIA/FLORENCE - An ideal introduction to Tuscany with its culinary and cultural treasures. The Gulf of La Spezia, on the edge of Tuscany, is called the "Gulf of Poets". When you visit the city with its park areas by the harbor or Castello Giorgio and discover the history of the region, you'll feel how fitting the name is for this spot on earth.
DAY 4: SAVONA - Even from afar, the small port town of Savona on the Riviera di Ponente welcomes you with its famous tower of Leon Pancaldo. Savona is also an ideal starting point for excursions through Le Langhe, the home of Barolo and truffles. But trips to Genoa or Portofino are also possible!
DAY 5: MARSEILLE - In the heart of the city, the Vieux-Port, you can watch fishermen and feel a fresh breeze. Also visit the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Garde.
Day 6: BARCELONA - A stroll along the lively promenade Las Ramblas is a must on any visit to Barcelona! Street performers, musicians, and acrobats transform it into a true open-air theater. The Gothic Quarter will also captivate you with its magnificent squares and buildings from the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
Day 7: PALMA DE MALLORCA - Visit Palma de Mallorca and see the magnificent Gothic Cathedral, among other sights, or take time for a leisurely walk in the old town.

Accommodation

Interior Cabin

Onboard Costa Smeralda, you will stay in modern and functionally furnished cabins with the highest comfort. They are air-conditioned and offer interactive satellite TV with PayTV (not included), a bathroom with shower, hairdryer, safe, minibar (for a fee), and Wi-Fi (for a fee).
The interior cabins are approximately 13m² and can accommodate 2 to 4 people (some with twin beds).

Oceanview Cabin

Large windows (some portholes) in the oceanview cabins offer a great view and invite you to enjoy the first rays of sun of the day. Oceanview cabins are approximately 20m² and can accommodate 2 to 4 guests (some with twin beds).

Balcony Cabin

The balcony cabin impresses with its direct sea view and offers a private atmosphere with the best comfort on your private balcony. The cabins are approximately 17m², plus the balcony.

Full Board

A total of 11 restaurants serve delicacies from all over the world, including, for example, a buffet restaurant, the Teppanyaki restaurant, Pizzeria Pummid’Oro, the family restaurant “Tutti a Tavola,” and the Laboratorio del Gusto (Taste Laboratory), where you can prepare your own dinner before enjoying it (some with reservation and for a fee). Your dining time will be assigned by Costa. In addition, there are 19 different bars (for a fee), such as the Spazio Bollicine by Ferrari Spumante, the Aperol Spritz Bar, the Campari Bar, a sports bar, the Bacaro Veneziano, the Nutella Café, and two Amarillo ice cream parlors (for a fee) complete the culinary offerings.

Sports included

The well-equipped fitness center with great sea views is available to all guests who want to get active. Outdoors, there is a multi-purpose sports court and an outdoor jogging track.

You have the option to book yoga, Pilates, or Kinesis classes in the aerobics studio for a fee onboard, or arrange personal training sessions in the fitness center!

Children's program

Younger guests onboard can spend exciting hours under the supervision of trained animators in the Squok Kids Club. Here, there's fun for every age group: Mini-Club for ages 3 to 6, Maxi-Club for ages 7 to 11, Teen Junior Club for ages 12 to 14, and the Teen Club for ages 15 to 17.
The ship offers a children's splash pool, as well as an entertainment area with video games (for a fee).

Wellness

Entertainment

The Costa Smeralda features a theater at the bow of the ship where regular performances take place. There is a casino (ages 18+, game stakes not included), a nightclub, and a piano bar. 4 pools, including an indoor pool and a reserved sun deck, an aqua park with slides, and the Skywalk at 65m height offer plenty of fun and action. Themed nights are regularly held on deck, and interactive shows invite participation.

Basic Cabins: A cabin that impresses with the essentials and where you can make yourself comfortable at your leisure. These cabins are located on the lower decks.
Basic Plus Cabins: If you consider vacation to be a special treat, then the Basic Plus cabin is perfect for you. Enjoy a location on the upper decks or more spacious cabin sizes.

Destination information

A tourist tax, similar to a city tax, is to be paid by the guest on site.
Depending on the hotel category, it is €2.20-€4.40 (plus VAT) per day/person aged 16 and over.
From the 9th day of stay in the same accommodation, the fee is reduced by 50%.
During the low season (1.11.-30.4.), the fee is reduced by 75%.
Unaccompanied minors are not permitted. If minors are accompanied by adults who are not their legal guardians, the travel registrant is obliged to inquire about any additional applicable conditions from Schauinsland-Reisen or the travel agency before booking.
