It is also an institution dedicated to developing projects for the conservation, education, and research of flora and fauna, such as projects for the Cuvier gazelle, the African elephant, and the Canary camel. Thanks to the latter project, it hosts the largest camel reserve in Europe and researches the health benefits of camel milk for humans.

The park is open all year round and offers several restaurants, a children's play area, and a farm with domestic animals. A shuttle service is also available (€6.50 p.p., pick-up times at the respective hotels, return journeys at 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM). The distance ranges from 6-30 km (15-30 minutes travel time) depending on the hotel/location.
