Location

At the foot of Spain's majestic highest mountain, in the middle of the "Cañadas del Teide" National Park, at approx. 2,152m above sea level, in a natural crater within the canyons of Teide, lies the Hotel Parador del Teide. The "Parador" offers its guests impressive views of the Teide cone, the Chaorra caldera, Montaña Blanca, and is an ideal starting point for interesting and challenging hikes in the National Park. Information and hiking maps are available here on the island. Its interior, the only building in the park, resembles a cozy high-mountain lodge, both in the common areas and the rooms. It is also a real pleasure to enjoy the exquisite dishes of original Canarian cuisine in the hotel's restaurant.
The south of the island with its sandy beaches (approx. 50km) can be reached quickly. The tourist metropolis of the north, Puerto de la Cruz, is approx. 48km away. Here you will find sidewalk cafes, bars, restaurants, the famous seawater swimming pools, and the beautifully designed Playa Jardin beach. The distance to the airport is approx. 65km, to Icod de los Vinos with its Drago Milenario it is approx. 52km, to La Orotava approx. 42km, and to the capital Santa Cruz it is approx. 70km.
Access via the roads leading from La Orotava, La Laguna, Chio, Los Cristianos, or Granadilla.

Facilities

The hotel has 37 rooms (elevator available), a reception with seating areas and a fireplace, a bar and a restaurant with beautiful large panoramic windows, and a snack bar. The hotel has a telescope that guests can use. Furthermore, on Friday nights, a free astronomical information event is held with a subsequent stargazing session (in Spanish).

All rooms have wooden floors, minibar (for a fee), safe, air conditioning/heating, telephone, satellite TV, bathroom with bathtub, shower and toiletries, all rooms have two single beds. No balcony or terrace (D).

Same amenities as the double rooms, but with mountain views. Balcony is only possible as a customer request.
