Location

The hotel is ideally located on the Samana Peninsula, just a few minutes from the town center and approx. 3-4 hours from Puerto Plata Airport. Situated directly between the bays of Samana and Escocesa, the beautiful natural surroundings with their dreamlike sandy beaches invite you to swim. Santo Domingo Airport is approx. 162 km away. From January to March, the bays offer a unique natural spectacle as many humpback whales gather here for mating.

The hotel complex has 295 rooms distributed throughout the complex. The hotel's general facilities include: an air-conditioned non-smoking buffet restaurant, 3 à la carte restaurants (Gourmet, Mediterranean, and Italian cuisine), 4 bars (snack bar, lobby bar, pool bar, disco bar), shops, conference rooms, 1 panoramic elevator with sea view, parking, ballroom, various shops, 2 outdoor swimming pools with whirlpools, a hydromassage swimming pool, a large sun terrace with loungers, umbrellas, and towel service at the pools. The Beach Club is located on the beach.

Deluxe Double Room

The standard rooms have either a king-size bed or double beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, full bathroom, hairdryer, minibar (soft drinks and beer included), telephone, safe, satellite TV, a breakfast table with chairs, and a terrace (DD2/DD1). Also bookable with sea view, although these may have a limited sea view due to vegetation (2SV/1SV).

Junior Suite Sea View

Same amenities as double rooms, but more spacious with a seating area and sofa bed, and a bathtub with whirlpool (J2M).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). When occupied by 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if rollaway beds are listed on the confirmation!

A wristband is required to use the All-Inclusive services. The dress code in the restaurants is as follows: swimwear is generally not permitted. In the specialty restaurants, additionally and generally not permitted: Bermuda shorts, shorts, sleeveless shirts, sandals. Men must wear long trousers. If the hotel occupancy is low, there may be temporary closures of various restaurants in exceptional cases.
In the Dominican Republic, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, increased occurrences of brown algae are often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are of course endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the local authorities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which emits a slight noise.
