Location

The Whala! Hotel Group complex is located about 100 meters from the fine sandy white beach. Cortecito is about 5 minutes away, and nearby you'll find a small plaza with a bakery, shops, restaurants, and bars. Punta Cana International Airport is approximately 20 km away.

Facilities

The holiday complex consists of three areas with different room types and offers its guests a reception area with a 24-hour reception, a buffet restaurant, a specialty restaurant (Japanese, for an additional charge), a beach restaurant/beach bar, and 2 bars (Skybar for an additional charge). In the well-kept tropical garden, there is a sun terrace with 3 swimming pools and 2 pool bars (both for an additional charge) as well as a beach bar. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach.

Seasonal information

Between April and December, there may be an increased presence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased occurrence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period, affecting the beach and sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
