No smoking policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transportation, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and sea. Hotel management and local authorities are naturally working to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can generate some noise.
