No smoking policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transportation, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations may result in fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, increased presence of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. Brown algae in the Caribbean are particularly common during this period, affecting the beach and sea. Hotel management and local authorities are actively working to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. This may involve the use of equipment that generates some noise.
