Location

The Fives Beach Hotel & Residence is located directly on the gently sloping sandy beach of the Riviera Maya. Playa del Carmen is approx. 10 minutes away. Cancun Airport is approx. 40 minutes away by car.

The luxury resort with 662 suites offers its guests a lobby with reception, a buffet restaurant with international cuisine, 14 restaurants and gourmet corners, a burger/taco corner on the beach, an ice cream parlor, and 8 bars (2 of which are pool bars). The garden area features 6 swimming pools (two of which are infinity pools and one adult-only pool) and a children's pool. Sun loungers, sunshades, and bath towels are included by the pool and on the beach. Additionally, the hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser (both for a fee).

The rooms offer a king-size bed or two double beds, air conditioning, cable TV, safe, minibar (daily refill), coffee machine, hairdryer, telephone, iron, ironing board, bathrobe, and a balcony or terrace (DD2/DD1).

One Bedroom

The One Bedroom rooms have a king-size bed, a separate living room with a sofa bed, a kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, oven, stove), a dining table, minibar, shower/toilet, air conditioning, and a balcony/terrace (OB2). Also bookable as One Bedroom Swim Up (OSU).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For a occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. Hotel management and local authorities are naturally endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight noise disturbance.
