Location

The Tukan Hotel Playa del Carmen is located approximately 250 m from the sandy beach. The center of the tourist area is just a few meters away. Shops are about 50 m from the hotel, and a supermarket can be reached in about 200 m. The nearest bars and restaurants are around 10 m away. The airport (CUN) is approximately 55 km away.

Facilities

The 4-story city hotel has 156 rooms spread across a main building and 2 annex buildings. It offers its guests a 24-hour reception (check-in from 3 PM, check-out until 12 PM), a lobby, air conditioning, a safe (for a fee), and a shop. A restaurant caters to culinary needs. Refreshing drinks in a social atmosphere can be enjoyed at the hotel bar.

Double Room Deluxe

The rooms are modernly furnished and feature a queen-size bed or two double beds, as well as air conditioning, shower/toilet, LED TV, Wi-Fi (free of charge), safe, and balcony or terrace. The rooms can be located in the main building or the annex building (DD2).
Also available with two bedrooms as type A for an additional charge (DDA).

Super Saver Room

These standard rooms in typical Mexican design offer a bath or shower/toilet, individually controlled air conditioning, TV, fan, safe, and telephone (SSZ).

Family Suite (from Winter 25)

These rooms offer ample space for the entire family with occupancy for up to 6 people and feature a king-size bed or double bed, an additional extra bed, internet (free of charge), safe (free of charge), and flat-screen cable TV, as well as individually controlled air conditioning. The bathroom is equipped with a shower/toilet (2FS).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

As of April 1, 2021, a tourism tax has been implemented and currently amounts to a one-time fee of 224 Mexican Pesos or approximately 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.
