Location

The beautiful hotel complex is located on the exclusive stretch of Playacar, directly on the wide, fine sandy beach. Cancun International Airport is approximately a 60-minute drive away.

Facilities

The resort, built in a modern Caribbean style, has 859 rooms spread across several buildings. The sprawling resort offers 8 restaurants (international buffet restaurant, gourmet restaurant, cupcake cafe, Mexican snacks, creperie, steakhouse, Asian, Brazilian, and Italian), 6 bars & 3 snack bars), a disco (ages 18+), a show stage, and a boutique. The well-maintained, tropical garden complex features 10 pools with separate children's pools and an infinity pool with children's slides, as well as an oceanfront aquapark.

The spacious junior suites feature an integrated living area, a bathroom with shower/toilet and whirlpool, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe, minibar, 24-hour room service, and a balcony or terrace with pool or garden view. The rooms are equipped with either two queen-size beds (2KQ/1KQ) with a sofa bed or one king-size bed (K2Z/K1Z) with bunk beds.

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For double occupancy with 1-2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Hotels in Mexico will be gradually introducing an "Eco-Tax" from now on.
This means that every hotel room user in Mexico is obligated to pay a state fee locally at the hotel in cash, similar to a tourist tax.

A tourism tax was implemented on April 1, 2021, and currently amounts to a one-time payment of 224 Mexican Pesos, or approximately 11 US dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.

No Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transportation, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, brown algae are often found in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are of course making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can generate some noise.
